HSE Advisors – Rig QA safety advisors have extensive experience working in the drilling and completions environment. When working in a high-risk area, it is important to ensure that safety support is knowledgeable and have the correct skills to coach and mentor personnel on the rig. In addition, their rig knowledge assists them in identifying at risk behaviors or unsafe conditions thus reducing the risks.
We actively participate in the planning of all activities and focus on high-risk tasks with regards to risk assessments and hazard identification.
Safety Audits – Our HESI (Health Environment Safety Inspection) program is a thorough audit protocol that gives clients an in-depth view of the current safety situation. Rig QA has an extensive check list that identifies key areas of the operation resulting in a status report of current findings. Our experienced auditors have been selected as audit specialists and have an excellent understanding of drilling and completion operations.
Lifting and Rigging – Rig QA lifting and rigging inspection auditors have performed exceptional inspections, audits and training all being well versed in API RP 2 and Loler. The inspection package covers all aspects of lifting and rigging as well as training verification and inspection protocols, operator, and banksman proficiency. We coach and mentor the personnel and offer guidance when needed. Our objective is to ensure clients get a comprehensive report on their lifting and rigging operations. We review lifting plans, procedures, inspection records, training records, equipment condition and can do an evaluation on the crane operators and the deck crew too to identify both gaps and positive performance.
DROPS – Rig QA has an extensive rig DROPS program that we have been performing for over 12 years. We have competent inspectors that have a proven track record in this field and have developed a Dynamic DROPS program focusing on the movement of equipment offshore to reduce dynamic DROPS risks.
Pre BESEE-Audits and Coaching – In 2022, Rig QA introduced pre-BSEE Audits which are focused on US based offshore operations. Our auditors are highly skilled in this type of inspection and perform this type of Audit in order for clients to keep their contracted rigs BSEE compliant. We also focus on coaching and mentoring the crews with regards to the BSEE requirements to improve their knowledge and skill sets.
