One of the most critical phases of on boarding a new rig to your operations is the final Rig Acceptance program. Our teams are composed of personnel who are not only technical experts in the performance of the equipment packages for the rig, but also hold real world operational experience. A tailored Rig Acceptance program will be developed, documented, and executed proving out the metrics required to verify not only the operational performance of the equipment systems, but the personnel as well. Post execution of the rig acceptance, the team will debrief you as to the performance of the entirety of the operational capabilities and how that compares to your requirements for incident free operational success.
Program Development – The Rig Acceptance program will be developed in collaboration with our clients to ensure that all their expectations are identified and communicated. These metrics are designed around the acceptable standards in the oil and gas industry and all evaluations and testing are done to the highest standard.
Project Management – Our project management program is an integrated program to manage all aspects of rig acceptance. We will manage the operation from inception to completion and we advise our Stakeholders on a daily basis of the current status as well as giving a lookahead. Execution of Acceptance – To execute a sustainable Rig acceptance program starts with getting buy in form all stakeholders to determine the scope of work and the desired outcomes. A comprehensive acceptance program ensures the rig maintains a s safe consistent high-quality performance during the operation phase. Our SME’s ensure that the testing is done in accordance with the prevailing standards and legislation as well as in line with corporate policies and procedures.
A typical team would consist of a dedicated project manager and a SME for each discipline i.e., Drilling Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, Well Control, Dynamic Positioning and DROPS/Safety Advisor. To strive for a more efficient operation it is imperative to ensure that the testing program is done correctly.
SME – Our SME team are experts in all disciplines of rig inspection and commissioning. These include mechanical, electrical, drilling systems, marine , DP and well control systems on all the different types of rigs. We can select an inspection team that are competent to inspect evaluate and report on the condition and advise on the relevant standards and requirements.
System Validation Testing – The System Verification Testing Plan outlines the methods of verification to be used for testing all the various system operations. This includes test strategies, definitions of what will be tested, the levels to which different system elements will be tested, and a test matrix with detailed mapping connecting the testing performed to the system requirements.
Component Test – Rig QA specialize in all aspects on testing i.e., integrated Acceptance Testing, Factory Acceptance Testing, BOP, Drilling Systems, Black out recovery. Test tests are agreed on prior to the test and the Rig QA Inspection team witnesses, monitors and reports on the testing programs. It is a critical component on any inspection program that testing is done in accordance with current approved processes and legislation.
